Cinis sends its first shipment

Sep 18, 2024

Molindos portfolio company, Cinis Fertilizer, has shipped its first batch of environmentally friendly potassium sulfate—over 3,400 tonnes—to Dutch fertilizer giant Van Iperen International. Just 1.5 years after breaking ground, Cinis is already delivering a high-quality, low-carbon product made using fossil-free production and recycled waste from industries like battery manufacturing and pulp production.

CEO Jakob Liedberg stated this as a major milestone, proving the potential for sustainable fertilizer that cuts agriculture's carbon footprint, and that company now will continue to grow the business.

Van Iperen International, a leading Dutch fertiliser producer with a presence in over 100 countries, has signed a ten-year agreement with Cinis Fertilizer to purchase the entire annual production of 100,000 tonnes of potassium sulphate from the facility in Köpmanholmen, outside Örnsköldsvik.
