Altris raise 150 MSEK in new capital.
Our portfolio company Altris has raised SEK 150 million in new capital. The funds will be used to complete the construction of the pilot production line.
Altris is a supplier to the battery industry with its cathode material "Fennac" which enables the production of batteries that do not contain nickel, cobalt, or lithium, three of the most critical metals in the world.
The leading investors in the round are two new owners: Maersk Growth, a part of the Danish shipping giant Maersk, and the car battery manufacturer Clarios, which is part of the U.S.-listed conglomerate Brookfield. We are happy to share that as existing owner Molindo also participated in the round.
It feels very good to show that it is possible to raise capital under current market conditions. We are going against the tide," says Christer Bergquist, CFO and acting CEO of Altris, in an interview with Di.
The owners of Altris now represent its main markets: energy storage for power grids, low-voltage vehicle batteries, and marine applications
