Altris launch battery module for defense sector

Molindo´s portfolio company Altris has entered a strategic collaboration with Oscilion, a subsidiary of Scandinavian Astor Group AB, to launch a new sodium-ion battery module developed and manufactured in the Nordic region for military applications. The partnership has already resulted in initial customer orders.

The new battery module is free from critical raw materials such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel, and is designed to meet demanding military requirements. Optimized for Nordic conditions, it can be stored in a discharged state for long periods without degradation. Production takes place at Altris facility in Uppsala, ensuring a fully Nordic value chain and strengthening regional supply resilience.

The collaboration marks an important step for Altris in expanding its sodium-ion technology into new, high-performance applications within the defense sector.
